How long would it take for a desktop to crack your password?

lol?
how would someone hack my pc if i insert random numbers and letters?
that thing starts telling you how long it would take when you start typing.
there is no "press enter" or anything.
My guess is, you type and it calculates what letters, sings, numbers and pattern you use and out of those informations it finds how long it might take.
Apart from that, I don't really take this serious :D (oh noooo i am soooo naiiiive!)
As long as it's not about my eye...
CAUTION! Do not look into laser with remaining eye.

I already pointed out that the site only uses client-sided javascript to measure the password strength and doesn't send it anywhere.

Javascript can send stuff anywhere at any point, even upon typing. This particular one however does not currently do that.

Read into AJAX.

Thank you, I know about ajax. I looked for ajax requests in the script code and I didn't found any.

My avg level 1 passwords: 6 days
My avg level 2 passwords: 11 years
My avg level 3 passwords: a billion years

Though I question the accuracy of this test.

For example one of my passwords (now retired) was "w6xzy26v" and it claims it would only take 3 days. This seems very short to what I would expect. Granted this assumes the hash is known, but still... it still seems quite short to what I would had expected.

The algorithm seems to assume 10,000,000 guesses per second.
