difficulties for newbies

Post by deadly »

hello guys i am back again to bore all with my boring views

i think the game is too hard on the newbies on several notes

1) game economy is not balanced
2) the stats reset cost is too high
3) the creeps are too hard to kill
4)no separate zone for newbies to hut lvl

the fris one in the point that game economy is ridicilous as the armous cost huge amount of money even if one had dont the the most difficult task

the basic items like a arrows are too much costly

to my opinoin i think the items price of the npc are too steep for the new players cosidering that the money is hard to comeby for the new players
the armor quest involves hunt high lvl creeps which itself need Armour to hunt those creeps

the main idea is to to implement creeps that react to a player according to the lvl of player like the player with high lvl get more damage compared to the player with low lvl from the same creep

the basic need of resetting the stat point is generally needed for newbies as the did the mistake of setting the points to the wrong place so according to me the stat reset pint cost should be lowered for players upto 85 as the playes beyond 85 are not noobs and if they need to reset stat they should pay more

the whole game is not quite of high quality graphics considering that its 2d its okay in the manner not good enough

but the games main target to get more players should be attracting players by te game play of the TMW

pls make the life of the newbies easy make the life tough gradually as they move on

because if the payers at first get the too much difficulties they will lose interest to my personal opinion

i have played WOW i have called many players from there after i joined here most of them left or not interested at all for too much pushing game play i still play this game because i have earned many friends here i don't wanna lose em

more to be added later on (feeling sleepy)

pls comment ur views on my post so that i know what u people think abt my idea :D

Good, lets put the warrior armor at 1000gp and every monster without attack then?

We need thing for player from lvl 1 to lvl 99, so exept to do 1 armor for every level, I see any solution with that..
Game need to be played, if the player got every equipement in less than 2weeks, then why play? it's simply not fun and a bad idea.

The money are not done to be balanced yet no? And freeyorp (and maybe acegi) work in the monster rebalance, so help them if you want to get more stuff done ^^

Corect me if I'm wrong.

2) the stats reset cost is too high
Many games don't even allow stat rests
the whole game is not quite of high quality graphics considering that its 2d its okay in the manner not good enough

I think the community in this game is great. As I start, many high level players helped me to get my equipment and with difficult Quests. When I was able to I also helped new players in the same way i received help in former times.
If the gamestructer is changed so massive in the way you propose, I think these experience of comunity get lost. This would be very sad, because I experienced this only here in The Mana World in the most other games there is everyone for himself.
The cost for an reset is in my opinion ok, because I make a first reset when I'm level 35 or so and then you should have the money for.
the basic items like a arrows are too much costly
If the arrows were much cheaper I think the balance to the other weapons is disturbed.
the whole game is not quite of high quality graphics considering that its 2d its okay in the manner not good enough
The graphic is lovely and great its special and sets these game far apart from others

At the end of my comment, I think you can not compare a game like WOW with this brilliant opensource game

*Having to start over again I must say that it is hard to get coal... As I have a hard time killing the necessary monsters without the equipment that I'm gathering the coal for. :?

However this does make things more interesting, I just wish the chain mail required something else from a monster that a newb can take.

thanks for both sarcastic and kind reply

the main feature i was suggesting (no one seem to notice) the different behavior of same creep towards different players

like creep behave to the player of lvl 1 differently like moving slow less damage while same creep deal high damage and move fast while with high lvl

if 2 different lvl player attack the same creep it should do an average damage of bot the players supposed to get

When the monsters* strength would scale with the players level would there be any point in leveling?

Not much on topic for the issue at hand, but it could be an interesting feature when not the monster strength but the monster AI would behave differently depending on player level. Low level monsters could, for example, flee when a player who is vastly more powerful comes near. But this is rather a Manaserv topic.

*monster is the terminology we use around here.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

I think what might help is if the wiki is updated, particularly the quest area. The linear nature of the wiki makes it simpler to follow than the forums.

The first line was correct. You bored me with your flawed logic.

honestly, i thought it was pretty east as a noob. I just set up a new char to see if it's any harder now and the only real problem I had was getting to hurns to fight fluffies the way i did as a noob.
lets see here:
1. it seems pretty balanced to me unless you want to buy an unobtainable item.
2. no its not. most noobs dont reset stats anyway.
3. pretty easy if you use the added quests in tuli to help level up.
4. there's no need as far as i see...
