Good Morning Platyna,
and Good Morning Lizandra, fellow biologist.
To answer your question Platyna, I was born and raised in America. I am certainly a evolutionist if I had to pick between the two.

Re: WTF of the month...
I believe in evolution. It is logical and it works in experiments.
But contrary to what some fundamentalists believe I don't think that evolution contradicts the theory that our ecosystem was the creation of an almighty god.
The theory of evolution and the theory of intelligent design can coexist when you assume that evolution is the tool used by the intelligent being which created our universe.
The evolution of a species is the result of the circumstances it evolved in. By manipulating these circumstances an omnipotent and omniscient being could control the evolution in an ecosystem without changing the lifeforms in it directly.
Therefore it is possible that God designed the exact appearance and abilities of every single life form on our planet by manipulating a few atoms during the big bang and then letting the universe form according to the laws of physics he also designed so that everything turns out the way he wants.
I am not a Christian, by the way. I am an agnostic.

Crush? Evolution doesn't contracts creationism? WTF. ;-D
Evolution: organisms evolved continuously.
Creationism: organism did not evolved, they were several times created and destroyed by god, and they did not change since then.

Re: WTF of the month...
Sigh. What a waste of time to believe stereotypes Playtna, not all Americans are christian just as not all developers are nerds. Believing in stereotypes is for those who are insecure and closed minded. It is a sad affair that you would post this here for reassurance of your own beliefs as a poll like this here is worthless.
That being said all hail evolution without it we would live in stereotypes forever. Oh btw I have no religion that I can say I am, or an ism they are for the weak. As for science well we should leave well enuff alone and live our lives instead of creating more things to destroy ourselves with.
Oh and don't forget American wasn't found from some English basterds it was already here and taken from the natives. This is why it is wrong to assume that this english parasite has converted everyone in America to christianity.

good point!
Re: WTF of the month...
Depends on how you define Creationism. Like Crush said, they aren't incompatible. A higher being could've created the mechanisms (and such) by which evolution works.Platyna wrote:Crush? Evolution doesn't contracts creationism? WTF. ;-D

Oh good, because your last 100 or so post made me start believing that poland was home to brain dead morons that can not understand that one video off youtube does not represent the whole of any population. Egocentric much?Platyna wrote:Good, more like you, and I will start believing America is not some sort of idiots enclave.August Knight wrote:Good Morning Platyna,

Believe it or not, creationism and evolution are completely compatible.
For instance.
God knows all.
So he sits a few organic chemicals on the burner, knowing that if he does, there will be a chemical reaction creating all that is here. Just like people do, dump some chemical together to create a more complex chain. Then every once in a while he drops in, changes a few things, wanting to receive an certain outcome. Has nothing to do with any major religions, could be even aliens. But we where specifically created, by using small changes over large periods of time.
or
A few organic chemicals from something like a prions. Over time the the prions from together creating a cell, cell over time to organisms. Organisms come under pressure and evolve. Over a long period of time, small changes add up and you have life as we know it.
The problem is that we will never really know. If we where some premade organic life that was sent here from other planet, aliens planted life here, or we evolved here.
And to argue about the unknown, and call people idiots over it, is just, will, dumb.

And here we have flamboyant example of dumbass American. First of all, he is whining, getting emo and rushing with personal attacks, about a joke, yes, dumbasses, jokes are based on stereotypes, that's what makes them cool. It is like I would be whining on Matt who calls me a car stealer.DarkWater wrote:Oh good, because your last 100 or so post made me start believing that poland was home to brain dead morons that can not understand that one video off youtube does not represent the whole of any population. Teaching someone who flames you, good manners is irrational - since you are flaming, you have no Duck idea about good manners, so you have no right to teach me, since you are not better. ;-) But well, Americans has shown not once they lack logic. ;-)
And prions did not created any cells. If you had any idea about prions you wouldn't come here and spam the forums with such nonsense.

wow lots of curse words....Platyna wrote:

Prions are know to evolve. Would therefore be before virus.
It is not really hard to see, prions changing to a virus like, changing into bacteria like.
An as you said, dw post was a joke, referring to a joke.
I honestly do not believe that anyone that says "idiot ameiricans" should be taken seriously.
But to the point, evolution is true. It is a fact and I would over a theorem.
Now, where we are like dogs and cats, and being breed for something, is one thing.
But to out and out argue something that will never be know, is there a god, is just stupid.
Maybe, just maybe, we should stop the spread of aids, cure cancer, or stop wars, instead of fighting about something that is at most a thought problem, and at worest a distraction from the real problems.
But it is interesting that you would use so many curse words, if it was only a joke?

ROTFL !!!
It seems like Platyna has just found a new way to distract her (and everyone on the way) from her protozoology's book.
Get back to your studies, your Highness, or you'll miss your exams!!
And thanks for the damned video.
Best regards.
