Don't forget about the skull room, which was the first area to push characters to the maximum level. The people that climbed levels to 99 would sit for hours power leveling. If you work a full time job, then came home and began the grind til you went to bed, it could still take several months to get to the elusive level. Students, home mothers, the retired, computer-based workers and the jobless seemed to have somewhat of an edge here.

Well, I'm not over level 90 yet (only 89) but I can tell you that being over 30 I play at work in my spare time...rarely when I'm home. It reminds me of some of the old school RPGs, but I can also chat with a few people too....

I wonder about the players who got over level 90(and claim to be over 30yo), I mean, this game has no graphics, nothing to entertain you while you are leveling. If you claim to be an adult (30yo+), you are over level 90 (I'm not talking about recently when botting was made public, tho this would be the case too), how the hell have you got so much time and interest to level in a game like this? What is your life like?

Isn't it a bit weird? Many people say they play for years, but to get to level 99 you had to do some serious playing (the graveyard was introduced recently). If you claim to be over 30 or 40, play this game and got to levels over 95... are you for real?

What is it then? Are these people lying or what?? What do you think?
Some people might come home after work and do nothing but play TMW
Some people might bot
Some people might not have a job and are living off the state
Some people might have played off and on for years

The answer to your question is, you are not doing it right sweety.

Let us break it down.

Really lets us break it down.

1-99
1-60 is handed to you, quests and stack will get you to lvl 60 in one day, easily
60-99 is about 300kk.

300000000 exp /13000exp/min=23000 mins.
23000min/ 60 min/hour= 384 hours

Now you only play 1 hour a day, you can get to 99 in about 1 year.

If you play 2 hours you get there in about 8 months.

If you play 3 hours 5 months.

Now if you play 4 hours a day about 3 months

Now if you play when you are at work lets say 8 hours a day, about 48 days.

If you play for 16 hours a day 24 days.

Now if you choose to use the grave yard.

(300,000,000 exp/ 20000exp/min)/60 min/hour=250 hours

At 3 hours per day, you got 99 in about 3 months 2 weeks.

Most people are stuck in traffic longer then 3 hours a day.

The quickest time I know of, is nitemares, she did it in less then 2 months.

The answer to your question is, you play about 2 to 3 hours a day, you will get to 99 in less the 4 months.

I'd say a lower exp/min since there will often be other players around taking some exp as well :)
Also I dont think ill beat NiteMares (not even trying to), but I made 80 in 18 days.

second truthfully. i was almost 98 when it came and used it less than a dozen times. Most of my lvls came from the snake pit as a bowman. The last came from the old mine.

True, true, I remember the high spawn rates from the old mine. Another spot: the snake pit, which was also very fun.

I think the closest guess is the active players count on the main website and take the highest population recorded on the week. I would say 100 active, but sure there is more because when we have special events we count more than that.

At six attackers or at a multiplier of six?

  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
