I recently started playing TMW and there seems to be a bug in the preferences window.
When I open te prefences window and close it I keep going to some direction. Mostly north-west or south-west.
I think it has to do something with joystick-options, but i'm not sure. It can also be the cancel-button which is frequently used by me...
My configuration is:
Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat (v.10.10), 3GB ram, 512MB Graphics, Intel Centrino 2
These might be handy: I have a HP DV7-1030eb laptop with Dual-monitor setup
