maybe he is referring to the "running on eAthena" message at startup.

You could try downloading the source package, get the data from it and update your installation with the new maps and tilesets.

Can't find map file error for me as well :( Entering a house into Hurnscald village in the wood.

Text log for tmw.log just after the last login window :

Code: Select all

===== mardi 18 décembre 2007 17 h 39 Europe/Paris =====

[…]

[16:39:12.66] Warning: Failed to load maps/new_20-1.tmx.gz: No such file or directory
[16:39:12.66] Map file not found (maps/new_20-1.tmx.gz)

[16:39:12.66] Error: Could not find map file
Actually, I don't have new_20-1.tmx.gz nor new_21-1.tmx.gz maps into The Mana World 0.0.23.app/Contents/Resources/data/maps folder.
It seems a known buggy updater on Mac OS X :)

Have you tried 0.0.24 from http://www.casualgamer.co.uk/tmw-0.0.24-dev.dmg ?

Let me know if you have any problems.

Just tried and it works fine, 0.0.24 dev seems much faster to connect though 8)

Tks trapdoor for your help. And Bjorn too in the IRC chat, much appreciated.

Precisions : In fact, it should have worked if I didn't have copied older particle related files that called graphics/particles/aniblaze.png .

What I had to do is copy the 2 missing maps from the ~/.tmw/updates folder to The Mana World 0.0.23.app/Contents/Resources/data/maps folder
  • new_20-1.tmx.gz
  • new_21-1.tmx.gz
And DL + copy the missing files from analyze.php to The Mana World 0.0.23.app/Contents/Resources/data/graphics/tiles folder :
  • woodland_indoor.png
  • woodland_indoor_x2.png
  • woodland_indoor_x3.png
