The Phoenix Council, a player group, has been added for Battle Systems with theKandiman, a General Content Team Developer, noted as a participant and responsible contact.
The current parameters right off the top of my head deal with not using m.def, reducing defense below 40% possible with current equipment, removing bonus stats from equipment, making equipment tiers mean something (5 tiers: 0-4), developing a way for equipment breaking to occur (level 0 equipment), reducing attack maximums to +60 possible (leaving space for a two-handed slashing weapon to max out at +100). Monsters must have levels that are less than 50, preferably equal to half the average character level it should threaten (a level 40 monster is a threat to a level 80 character).
Other issues deal with magic, which the Magic and Skills Team will review.
This balance is so that the future of this game can grow and our current system is very broken currently.
All this is open for discussion, including intermediate systems. Remember, this affects the future of official tmwAthena, so thoughts and concerns should be expressed and we will attempt to see if there is a way to address them.
