Injuries

What about this. When you get hurt, your movement is slower. So while your hp bar is green, you can run, while it is yellow, only walk, and red, you gimp around. Maybe mixed in with my walk/run idea (posted in another forum) this might add another dimension to the game as well as make PvP more intersting. Imagine doing PvP and the player just keeps jetting off when they are hurt. If the injury system was in place, they would not just jet off, but rather try to get away....

That means getting out of battle gets harder when the battle turns out to be too hard for your level. Which I think is wrong.

N00b: "Hm, let's try this challenging looking crabmonster..."
"Crabmonster hits N00b for 20 damage" *N00b's got 5 HP left* N00b: "RUN AWAY!!! DARN, I CAN'T RUN, JUST FRIGGIN' GIMP AROUND!!!"

Yes but slaying noobs will be a lot easyer... and when you include something that you can see which level they are you dont have that problem...

Slaying N00bs is wrong. Not because the kill his char, but because you kill his fun. Creating a overall unfriendly atmosphere, ruining the entire game.

Besides, if your level is higher then another player you already have an advantage. You should have an extra advantage.

when this whole idea came to mind, i was thinking more of a Pro v Pro. i think that 2 pros could go at it a long time

That's why there are a lot of items to restore HP. The «N00b» should always have some of them, in case of finding a strongest opponent. :wink:

I love the idea maybe you could have the character bleed too.
