We need a NEW manabot
We need a new manabot version for the new client. I'm sure there are enough geeks on this forum who can develop a new working version.
Please post in this thread the new release. I will be waiting.

Keep in mind that there are *also* geeks on this forum who will do their best to make manabot unusable, because it ruins the game.

Either way if manabot works or not on the game there are always other scripted clients out there that will do automation, so no matter how hard you try to prevent it, it will always happen which is why pretty much all MMORPG's have bots.
I personally dont use manabot im just saying and putting it out there.

I am not a geek, and therefore i can't do it myself. That's why i opened this topic.natsuki3 wrote:oO

Yeah, it would be really really really really fun to press "x" 1000000000 times and pick up things by yourself. All the quests require a lot of items and the "fun" part of the game consists in doing stuff over and over again.o11c wrote:Keep in mind that there are *also* geeks on this forum who will do their best to make manabot unusable, because it ruins the game.
I am pretty sure you have no idea what "FUN" is.
Most of the people who use manabot are not afk, they watch a move or work in the meantime.
And since the people who develop this game don't care if the players have fun or not (see the quests) , we require a new manabot.

Re: We need a NEW manabot
Sorry, but if someone is watching a movie or doing work while logged in to the game, they are not sending keyboard events to the client (and so are debatably afk), and they are not really playing the game (since they're not doing anything).
I know what fun is, because I have a level 85 and 2 level 70 or so characters, earned honestly, and the only reason I'm not leveling much these days is because I got into server development.
Instead of whining about how you can't have "fun" playing the game without not-playing the game, why don't you actually do something to improve the game?
I don't think you know what "fun" is.

Re: We need a NEW manabot
I think people like you ruin the game. If you think it's fun to collect 100 bones and 100 skulls then I think you need to get out of your parent's basement more often.
Do you ever stop and think why people don't play this game? I think besides the gms, devs and people involved in contributing, there are only 50 people (out of 7 billion) who play TMW.
Keep implementing your "FUN" into this game and watch how in another 8 years nothing changes in TMW, you will still have 50 people playing it (with 20 accounts each).
Did you ever think that manabot was created by some players who thought leveling in this game is pretty much retarded?

No he havent. He is alone whatever he wants to do: trolling isnt everything!
Re: We need a NEW manabot
I know that collecting 100 bones takes time. Sure, it was a pain at level 50 or 60, when I first got introduced to the need for 50 bones for the Airlia quest, but it's no trouble now. I haven't completed the Diseased Heart quest, but that's because I'm 1. spending a lot of time making this game better, unlike you, and 2. waiting to double up with one of the graveyard inn quests.
The fun is in the journey, not in the destination. That's the reason I also have a couple of level 40s and some lower level ones (one of which is playing with the "weaponless" and "nudist" conducts).
Want to know why people don't play this game? Because there are bots dominating many of the areas that real people also need to use to level up. Newsflash: bots like you aren't friendly.
Oh, and when I finish my server rewrite (it's still "2 or 3 months away", but I think I've done as much in the 6 months I've been working on it as the TMWServ people have done in 6 years), some of the things that will be possible will not even be recognizable.

Re: We need a NEW manabot
You are rigth but it doesnt need time 2 collect bones as long as you want to be a high lvl player. You just kick some ass and pick up the loot as long as no higher player is around ya xD

@DefinitelyNOTMrWho
Don't mind the discussion about ethic questions of using bots in here.
They just want to disregard you, I mean they are even telling you'd be a troll?
@topic
Well the problem of having a new manabot is how to identify this special client then to the server?
(Did you know as of now only manabot users are being botchecked, since the letters 'bot' are part of the clients name?
We would need a new easy-to-remember name. Maybe somebody can help us out?
As reviewing the organizational aspects the character classes are very unbalanced, so i'd wait until the rebalance has happened,
so the new bot can support the superior class then

ManaBot is one of the reasons we need to do the rebalance.argul wrote:As reviewing the organizational aspects the character classes are very unbalanced, so i'd wait until the rebalance has happened,

Re: We need a NEW manabot
I just recently got a working version of Manabot and I am pretty new to the game btw. Setting a bot to grind for you got annoying in about an hour. You camp on mobs that other real players need to kill for drops. You can't really control hitting mobs that someone else is hitting, you kill off those mobs another player is needing to kill for drops, and that makes it generally selfish to use. The positive about bots for TMW is the follow+attack feature, which is the only thing worthwhile out of that client IMHO. The interesting thing is that another client exists and is fun to try. Much credit to 4144 for ManaPlus.
I think the economy of this game sort of lends itself to botting. Not just in the obvious level grinding, but in one of the fighting classes. Being a mage is just too costly. Iron ore gathering is far too necessary, and hence the "need" for botting. Something more common should be used for the only attack mages really use. Or, the amount of powder (sulfur and iron) should be much higher when a mage transmutes it. Perhaps 10-30 instead of 5-7. If you take away the need for mage items, then the economy would be reduced to rare drops and things that are hard to use bots to acquire. Zombie drops, snakes, and so on. Anyone using a bot at that point would just be using it for leveling. The people that would use a bot to level would be far less than those using it to farm iron on an alt.
Also, not to get off topic, but I think warriors should remain at a disadvantage damage-wise, because they really are bot friendly. By and large, those that stat as warriors tend to do some botting.
Again, I am a new player... new to TMW, so please take me with a grain of salt.
