Weekly Drop Parties!
Weekly Drop Parties!
I've started a weekly drop party event! So far, this seems like an excellent idea and I'm not sure why nobody has done it before.
Let me explain. I currently have two characters dedicated to accepting donations. DropPartyDonationCenter and DropPartyDonationMule, respectively. These accounts accept donations of items and GP from players who have the fortune to be able to spare a few items. Since there are many item that a player may not need or have a use for, this is a great way to clean out the inventory and contribute to some of the fun that is The Mana World. All GP donations will be used to buy [Beer] for the party.
The drop parties will be on Saturday at a non-specific time. I will wait until these is a large number of players online and then have the GMs make announcements for the event. The events should take place some time between 14:00 and 18:00 server time. That's the North/South American afternoon.
Here's a screenshot of the current inventory of items. I'm impressed with our community and how generous the contributors to this event scheme have been. You all rock!

All items will be dropped on Saturday. Every Saturday. The best way to contribute is to spread the word to your friends who play the game, and to also donate any items or GP that you can afford to part ways with.
Thoughts? Ideas? Criticisms? Discuss.

Re: Weekly Drop Parties!
just some personal thoughts here
that is, indeed a great collection of items to be dropped lol
i don't think people do it weekly because... everyone's busy hunting their items?
so i find it great that you are able to act as a middlemen
for players to return the favor to newbies! XD
this is like, recycling in TMW lol
i hope this event goes well and continue!
cheers!
P.S. idea. maybe create a party of sorts. the 2 characters you have (i assume) may not be online all the time. getting a party, to go to different towns/cities/areas, at different times (i assume you sleep too lol) will definitely help to make this event more successful. they will act as drop boxes for people to donate. however, of course. there must be a high level of trust going on here... probably needs an audition(?) and some form of control... just suggesting

Re: Weekly Drop Parties!
The party was cancelled because Agent Killer, Follow_the_white_rabbit and Wafolon sabotaged the event. There were also people using auto-follow, a ban-worthy offence. They deliberately broke rules, and were given plenty of warnings. There is a big problem with people who go out of their way to ruin this game for everyone, and I'm sick of it.
The rest of the items I have will be donated to another player and they will do a drop party at an undisclosed time. I apologise to everyone for the few assholes who went out of their way to ruin your fun.

Re: Weekly Drop Parties!
Hey Kull,
I'd like to thank you for the drop party, I enjoyed it, even if it ended sooner than planned...
I'd just like to ask you a favour for when we'll interact in the future: Please don't call me a Duck tradespamming noob before even hearing me out or knowing what's actually happening...
Your drop-collection-bot had no slot left when I wanted to donate daggers, that's why you saw no offer and that's why I tried again with a different item...
I tried to explain this to you, but you just ignroed what I had to say and kept saying "this is trade-spamming"....
So, please Kull, I think communication would be better between us if you treated me like a judge treats an alleged criminal... Innocent until proven guilty.
So long, thanks again for the drop party, I really liked it, and just don't get so upset (even if a few people broke the rules...), life's too short to live it in anger.
Kind regards,
Baeda

when you constantly ennoy players by killing or trolling them, you cannot ask them to be nice with you;Kull wrote:The party was cancelled because Agent Killer, Follow_the_white_rabbit and Wafolon sabotaged the event.
