Hello. I'm new to The Mana World and was curious if I could find a newbie guide anywhere that perhaps could tell me what creatures would be good to train on at a low level and something to do or perhaps goals to take on.

hmm i think it's player's task to do... to PLAY and EXPLORE

Oh, I agree but I was just looking for something to help me in the beginning. I didn't know anything whether there was a death penalty, what monsters to kill, what quests to do. I guess exploring can't hurt, but you can't say help is bad.

Maybe once more updates are completed, someone can write a short new player guide to get newbies started and on the right path.

There's a newbie NPC at the spawnpoint and there's this wiki page.

A newbie NPC? I must've missed him. Are there going to be NPC names underneath eventually or ever? That sure would help.

Well there is a guide ingame and such, but I still think I will do a hole guide called "Beginners Guide". I will try to get translators and translate everything to several languages. But I won't do it now, because the game is changing in every update, so I will have to change alot, and I don't know THAT much yet, I'm still learning.

is there something you miss in the wiki article? if so why don't you just work at the article itself instead of starting an own article from scratch? in a wiki everyone can edit any page. you just have to create an account and you can edit it.

By the way: the gameplay won't change that much before the new server software is running. and it will take quite some time before this happens. maybe even more than a year (very difficult to tell). but there will be some contend additions in the near future. we got three new areas in development (savannah, forest village and snow village) which all have a good chance to be released before 2007.

(Disclaimer: These are just my personal expectations which didn't prove to be very reliable in the past. So i can't promise you anything.)
