Guild chat/bot temporarily down

The guild bot is currently offline until that bot has a new hosting arrangement.
This means the chat tab labelled "guild" will not work. This does not affect anything else in the game.
I'm sorry for the difficulty and the short notice.

I don't care enough about providing this service to expose myself to such conspiracy theories. The only way I can think to prove a negative is to cease hosting it. This I have done.

I hope to move it to Platinum. There are technical reasons why this might not be a sustainable solution.

I am sorry to relaunch the debate, but the right way to solve this issue would be to (re) enable the guild features on the server. Players are not supposed to have the means to host a server, and skills to develop a bot. Unless this service is proposed by platinum. Whether the development team/admins likes guilds or not is not the problem, they are part of any mmorpg. If the problem about them is only an inflation of their number, I suggest that the guild creation is made by an administrator, with objective criterions such as "at least 16 active player members" and maybe two (?) well identified leaders (forum registration?...), a web site... Guild storage access is made through a special bank (or actual one?) NPC to rank 1 to 5 members. We can see later if it is necessary to improve it. If the guild activity (measured by their leaders one is not sufficient (6 months inactivity?), guild is released and guild storage is shared between members or simply lost.
I don't think the guild number will be higher than it actually is.

On the guild bot issue: I affirm clearly and publicly my personal trust in Frost. He showed me many times I was right to do it though we may have divergences on several important points.

Though that would be awsome, not everyone has the skills to create one. But I like the idea of it considering people cant spy on themselves.

Manaplus allows you to log your own guild channel as any of the chat tabs. You just have to check the corresponding option in setup, Chat tab.

For once can we just all quit whining. People are going to do stupid stuff I know from experience. I'm not saying anyone was spying on anyone but honestly who gives a damn? It's a game people are going to lie and cheat and back-stab, it's human. It's a game if you honestly have something _that_ important to hide the maybe you should be telling it on a game that sends everything over plain text? I'm not currently in a guild so I don't care either way. Honestly despite my lack of friendship with frost he does not seem like a person that would waste his useful time scrolling through guild logs. I don't see why anyone would start Chocolate Cupcake like this, oh well that's just my opinion.

As user of this bot and (old?) leader of a guild, I never suspect, nor before, nor now, that Frost is spying on this guild channel. So from me and from the whole CRC_guild_bot_user, I think that I can reassure all of my trust on Frost and on his bot.
