Personal Server Howto's?

Does anybody who currently, or in the past ran their own server and learned howto add maps, make new quests, mobs, and stuff... do you have notes on how you do things? Maybe written in text documents, while you were in the process of learning to organize and record what you learned?

If anyone has any written info about anything concerning running your own server (a clone of TMW main server) that might be helpful to others, could they upload it to Pastbin, or put it in a zip and upload here?

Most things on the wiki seem to assume you already know what you are doing

I wrote this a while back for Pihro may be useful (this is how he setup Land of the Flames' updates)

It's geared more toward Ubuntu/debian so if you're running something else be prepared to change a few commands around (i.e. sudo apt-get)

I did use Ubuntu but when they screwed up their flavor of Debian I went to Debian (Squeeze), and am looking into "Dream Linux"; so I am a consumate Debian user, the info is good for me, thanks
