How to make this game better, and where it went wrong.
Everything to follow is subjective, and only my opinion. I am only writing this to give honest feedback from my perspective. It is not my aim to insult, offend, or devalue the hard work put into this game over the years.
The game it's self is not that fun, especially compared to what is out there now-a-days. The statement holds true to me looking back a few years ago. Yet it was fun. I enjoyed the game because of all the different people I encountered with different personalities. Some I got along with, and some I clashed with. Which brings me to my first point of discussion - The Drama. Instead of trying to eliminate all of the drama Duck' embrace it. It is what keeps things interesting, and stops things from becoming stale. Think of it as a story. The first rule of writing any good story is there has to be conflict of some sort. If not it is just a boring slog of words that no one is interested in. I am not saying let things descend into complete chaos, and anarchy, just loosen the reins, and give room for people to argue, fight, disagree, and be human.
Another issue is botting. You guys are actually rather reasonable when it comes to this. The whole "as long as you're not AFK" is fair. I also get you don't want a server filled with bots. However, think of all the people that got banned because of this. I suggested this back when I used to play, and still think it is a good idea. Create a map, a cave, a dungeon, or something where botting is permitted. Watching your character climb in levels can be fun, actually levelling in this game can be repetitive and boring. Hell if I was you, I'd even build botting functions into the client, or make a plugin. The only draw back imo is the GMs might get bored with no one to ban.

+1 this all day. The rest of the complaints are just expanding on this issue.SatanicCaffine wrote:The game it's self is not that fun, especially compared to what is out there now-a-days.
The secret to getting all the important stuff done is doing nothing.
