The Game in Development

Post by The Judge »

When this game moves on to beta, and final versions, are we going to lose our characters? Does anybody know? I thought I saw somewhere all the items would be wiped, which makes me worry about my character. Thx.

yes. everything will be wiped out when we move to the new server. there is not much that can be done about it. there have been many people who worry about this, but the end result is either just enjoy while you can, or quit playing until the beta version comes out.

It will take quite long until we can really switch to the new game concept. And before this happens there will be some big content updates comming out.

So when you stop playing now you gonna miss a lot.

I would also like to point out that while it will be impossible to convert the character level and stats to the new system it might indeed be possible to take the accounts and character names to the new server and give the long time gamers a little starting present to make the start easier. But this is all not decided yet.

Well I am definitely going to keep on playing, its a fun little game. I was just curious about that is all. Thanks for the info though. Oh, and since you're still trying to work out bugs and all, I may have noticed one. I don't know if its my computer, or the game, or if anyone else had this problem, but every once and a while, my character will just start walking in one direction, like, permanently. I can make him walk other directions, but the second I let go of the keys, he'll walk that one direction again. It only happens once and a while , though. Otherwise, so far as I can tell, you got a great game in the making here. Keep up the good work.

Did you try to disable the joystick in the game setup? Some people reported similar problems with the joystick enabled.

Yeah. It happened to me again, while i was in the mine. The Judge just walked up and to the left, and I couldn't budge him. So, I don't know if its something I'm doing, but it is not that the joystick is enabled. Anyway, there it is.

I know that some games have this problem if you have a badly calibrated joystick or gamepad. Even if the hardware isnt enabled in the game.

Ok, I'll try recalibrating mine. I guess it doesn't matter that its not even plugged in, huh?

Not necessarily. Sometimes it is enough if you have had it plugged in just ones.
