About the santa slimes

I am finding the green present boxes. And was killed by the santa slimes many times. So I am puzzled why these monster so strong . After I read the monster reference in wiki I found the reason...
So may I ask a question, what's your level when you can kill the santa slimes?

I don't think is the level you are as much as how you use your points.

A level 15 player who put it all on dexterity, would be better than a higher level (like my 53 char) that put it on other things, when using a bow (the only viable wepon for killing Santa slimes).
