Need Help with local hosting the mana world on 127.0.0.1

Post by Landon »

I have a eathena server I run in my home for my family, I noticed something weird happening. I decided to spawn some Jacko's they dropped rare hats and vnecks, but when you pick them up and try to equip them it comes up cannot equip in the dialog. I tried logging out and back on, tried with a GM & Non GM account and I cannot equip the rare items. If I spawn one to inventory I can equip it which kinda confuses me.

Any help greatly appreciated.

thanks for the input, can someone tell me this; I have a family member that lives several houses down from me, they wanna play on my server too, How can I enable this to happen? i use a belkin router and I checked my IP on and IP website and had them try the Ip in place of the server.themanaworld.org but to no avail says that it can not connect to remote host.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you enable port-forwarding on your router?

I think so, I have a static connection and set my IP and ports 5122-6901 TCP

Plus I got another issue, anytime a monster drops clothing like a snake drops a fancy hat, that item cannot be equipped. shows cannot be equipped in dialog what causes that?

Regarding your drop problem:

Where did you get the eAthena version you are using?
Where did you get the data- and config files you are using with it?
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

Just an update I tried replacing the item_db file and did not seem to help. I got that file from hyper link below.

I also have another issue, when I go to trade it shows in the other person's trade window but not mine, when I complete the trade it does not subtract from the inventory, works the other away around too, is there a patch I need?
