Drop theives

Post by danleej »

Ok I am starting to get annoyed by the amount of drop thieves lurking in the caves as of late, is there anything up and coming to stop these people from getting away with this? Personally I am for PVP, then many of these jackals would think twice before swiping stuff when your fighting a swarm or after you can go and give them a beating they richly deserve. For me it is more of an annoyance than anything, but what about some of the lower characters trying to get a key for the short sword or some other quest item needed, that some person goes and swipes and screws the person over. Anybody have any other ideas?

give me a banstick and just point out the people that do that. no but i don't know we should list these thieves down here. lets start with a little guy called pickpocket. if you see him..he'll steal your drops

Two I know of is **Cocacola** and Hawk. Cocacola will follow me around just waiting to snatch the first thing that drops.

I wish they would do what other MMORPG games did and put a time limit on dropped items so only the one that took the most HP from the monster would be able to loot for that time. I find it frustrating, especially since getting money in this game is truly an amazing feat in itself (unless you exploit a bug). I stop playing for a couple months at a time because it gets old. I love what the devs are doing for the most part, but economy is gimped IMHO.

I understand the 'real life' aspect to having to grab your loot quickly, but let's face it, most of us would not be in a cave suddenly attacked by swarms of scorpions while Little Mary Sunshine skipped by picking up everything as we fight for our lives to even move towards items as they drop.
