The next client version (0.0.27) will include support for more characters (the ones in
ISO 8859-15).
Sorry, Polish diacritics not supported, though þorn is.
Come on ÃÂÂzlensku players, where are you hiding!?
Request one: sansserif8.png
If someone feels like it, please do make these extended characters look nicer. It was fun pixeling them, but I certainly haven’t got the hang of it yet. This is the font that is displayed in the chat, dialogues and mostly everywhere else except the messages shown above the players’ heads.

Request two: rpgfont_wider.png
I haven’t extended this font, and I won‘t do it either. But if anyone feels up to it, please do! The order of the characters isn’t important. I can submit a patch to the client source code if this image is extended, so that doesn’t need to be done.

Please note that the usage of these image fonts is only temporary until Unicode is supported in the current eAthena client (Unicode is already supported in the tmwserv client). So this is a request of low priority, but as it is quite easy to do, pixel artists not yet up-to-par with the other pixeling tasks may here have an opportunity to get something included in the game.

From the little German I know I would call it “Eszet†(sz), but I have heard “Doppel-s†(ss) and “scharfes s†(sharp s) as well.
ßßß
Historically it is a ligature of the long s (Å¿) and z. I most ardently hate the new German spelling rules that have made this character optional. Grotesk!

The ß (called es-zed, pronounced like a sharp s) is not optional. The new spelling rules (I can understand your frustration: they were very controversial, but in the last years we got used to them) replaced it with ss in a lot of cases but there are still a lot of situations where you have to use the ß and it is clearly defined where ss and where ß has to be used.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
