Los Viscerales is sponsoring an open tournament in the pvp Arena. Here are details:

Prize Fighting Tournament



Tournament Entrance Fee is 20k. The Fighter that wins the tournament gets the entire pot. Betting can be done through the "Bookie" on the fight.

Fighting area (the "ring") will be limited within the 4 statues within the arena. Stepping outside of fight area causes fighter to gain a fault.

Best of Five: Winning three rounds determines the outcome of the fight.

3 Minute Rounds with 30 second heal times between rounds

Round One: Naked (no visible armor and no "naked" spell)

Round Two: + Gloves and Boots

Round Three: + Leggings

Round 4: + Breastplate

Round 5: + Helmet

Faults: Accidental shooting the timekeeper, bookie or judge anytime during the fight. Accidental shooting of opponent before timekeeper says "fight". Accidental shooting of fighters or spectators outside of fighting. Moving outside the ring. Faults can disqualify a fighter if they get 3 faults before the end of their fight.

Tournament Roles

Judge - Sits in middle of ring to see entire fight. The Judge announces fights, keeps the fight schedule moving. They also call "faults", end the fight and can disqualify fighters.

Timekeeper - Sits in middle of ring to see entire fight. They keep track of the time of the rounds and calls for end of round when time is up.

Bookie - Takes bets before the fight. Keeps record of name of the better, the bet amount and who they betted for.

Fighter - Sits at the south end of the ring when not fighting. They must stay at the south end during the tournament until they are called on to fight to prevent cheating.

Sorry jojje101, HMC members have to ask their leadership if they can participate.
It seems HMC thinks their membership are more like children that can't play with the big kids because the big kids like to play rough.

However, tournament times will vary if pvp gains any significant momentum and it seems to have a small fanbase. We will also have all the rules online after a while, so if anything, others can use our notes to organize their own.

We list "participants" on our site roster. Our group is based on individuals wanting to compete with each other, no matter what group they are a part of. "doorsman", one of your leaders, has threatened to ban HMCers that joins in the activities of our group, which is the only reason we list the roster online.

Go to your leader and ask him if you can participate if under "title" I list HMC members as "HMC member"s. Right now I really can't offer help to you as it is your clan that is offering the restrictions. I also don't understand them. If HMC wants to settle this privately, feel free to PM me through this forum.

Let me offer once again to you Wombat, the HMC does not dictate TMW nor its members what to do. Ethics and respect is quoted because they are just that in all things.

Then why was Aldastir threatened with being expelled from HMC for being on our roster? If it isn't true that Aldastir wasn't threatened with expulsion from HMC, you need to have him come forward and apologize for misleading me. HMC needs to call their leadership forward rather than individually answer for their clan if we are to resolve anything.

This is an announcement and I was giving an explanation to one of your members on why HMC members can't participate in LV events. If you want to reverse doorsman's interpretation of your own group's ethics, you need his permission first.

This is a discussion on the tournament, HMC issues on this tournament are now closed. Address me privately or start another thread if anyone would like to find a resolution to this issue.

Please start to use ELO numbers for players when you hold competitive tournaments. (Or could we even have an NPC for this?)

You will have a ladder ranking system automatically as a nice side bonus.

It was an interesting, though short tournament. A final four: AnnaB vs. Wombat and kaiser vs. z0ro. Wombat came out ahead of AnnaB, winning 4 out of 5 rounds. Kaiser battled to defeat z0ro 3-2.

The main match was again kaiser vs. Wombat, but this time kaiser pulled ahead to win this weeks championship 3-2 and the 80,0000 gp pot.

We did have minor issues with people attacking each other outside the match and some spectators attacking the fighters as they rested in between rounds. This wasn't a big deal and hardly slowed the arena match down.

I also like the idea of having a system to fully measure the standing of each fighter within the league/game.
