Dont know if the server records IP addresses, Could do an IP lookup on the e-mail address, would be nice to block this IP from the fourm and game to make a point.

Would be a good Deterrent

The forum does record IP's, but an IP ban would be unlikely to work because such spam attacks usually comes from botnets: Windows machines infected with worms and commanded to use search engines to search for forums and post spam to them.

By the way: When did YOU, dear reader, install the latest security patches for your windows machine? When the answer is more than two month ago it is very likely that you are part of the problem without even knowing it.
