Lol when I started playing TMW, I thought I was one of the oldest players. But then others started telling me the average age group that plays is 20+ and I found it odd that people that old has so much time to play TMW. I figured maybe they had no job or worked in places with computers available.

Anyways, back on topic. What do you mean consequences? If people want to spend each and every day playing TMW who are you to stop them? You play TMW quite alot yourself so are you trying to get advice to help your problems?

I'm not trying to be rude but the way you worded your question made it seem like there's something wrong with people who love to play TMW.

Again, not trying to be rude, but i'm pretty sure you aren't interested in hearing why every single person likes this game. But if that is why you asked the question then I apologize.

That's what I meant. You asked how should/could people change? Why should they have to change?

I actually do enjoy this game a lot. I don't have the greatest computer and 3D / Bigger MMORPG's lag on my computer so I tend to play the 2D / Smaller ones. I love to spend from half an hour to an hour trying to gain some exp then I like to spend the rest of the time i'm on helping the new comers along with trying to finish up my quests.

And i'm just replying to your posts? Am I not allowed? You can "ignore" me if you want, remember?

Alot use it as an exit from reality or just as a stress reliever because they find it fun. And okay I apologize for questioning your intentions which I had no right to do..

its right, im playing tmw often even if its boring to me. im playing too much, because i dont know what to do else. i spent many hours and nights for upleveling or collecting items, but when i finally went to bed i felt my back aching and my time stupidly wasted.
but well, what should i do else? its hard not to waste my time anyway. but im glad im not addicted to upleveling anymore. i often see some ppl online every time i log in, being always on their way to the next level or something. its a bit sad, because it seems (and some told me), not everyone enjoys it all the time. or the fun is just a bit facile.

what am i looking for in tmw? nowadays its simply some ppl i like why i join the game. i know some that left the game because they feeled to waste their time. im here to chat with others mostly or doing silly things for the fun. but the fun is, like i said, short term fun. should not spent too many hours on it.

but its not a problem to tmw in particular. i was even more addicted to other games, and i know a few persons who became very addicted to WOW for example. and its really sad, especially when they were friends. sure, its everyones own decision, but at least we could try to help each other, showing the negative aspects of it and trying to achieve alternatives.
i dont want to suggest to not playing anymore. its just the way ppl play that could end up negative - for their own health and for relationships.

the problem wont be solved by leaving the game or something like that, because the causes of the problem will remain and new addictions will emerge, even if not on computer gaming at all. so we should rather find out what leads us to such a behaviour, what do we really search in tmw and why we do never find it at all, or what it is that we flee from. for the first step.

what do you think?
