Online List solution!

Post by Bear » Wed Jun 08, 2005 12:54 am

Iv seen a few people ask this question already, and have come to a conclusion on what to do!

for an online list.... there are 2 solutions

One: Post a direct link to the file on the Main Website!
Two: make it so if you press one of the F-keys that it opens a box telling you who is on!

The list that is posted online, would probably be better if there was an XML version, which would allow it to be incorporated into websites and applications more easily. It would also isolate the website/application from changes to the format of the output.

Well doing the PHP to get the online players extracted from there is not THAT hard, is it? ;)
This message used to be meaningful.

It not hard in any language, but XML has the added benefit of isolating the data from the addition of future data.

Just use PHP to write the script for it. And if the server pc has apache setup then you can do it pretty easily
