How Was TMW born?

Hey

I just have a few questions regarding the making of The Mana World, like...

Who was the person(s) who decided to make TMW?

Are people making profit from this game?

It seems like there are people all over the word helping to make the game are they all volunteers just working on the game in their spare time?

well thats pretty much it, I haven't heard much on the history of TMW.

I don't think TMW makes any money and all dev's are just volunteer's. It's an open source game afterall. :D

We don't make money, but others can (and might already be). Everything we do is GPL, which means people can make money from it.

ElvenProgrammer started TMW.

Well.. They really shouldn't make it P2P.
Buut.. is there some donation future?

Yes. We plan to introduce monthly subscriptions like WoW by 2010. We can't say how much / month, we are currently negotiating with our polish host about that.

This is correct, we told them they will get payed once we started our monthly subscription plan. But I doubt they will get anything because our lifestyle is quite expensive.
