just thought it would be nice to have a magic carpet spell ingame. With this one could move faster from one place to another on a map.

This sounds like a cool idea. However, I'd prefer a magic-related quest rewarding you with a Broomstick, which would be equipped possibly in the - cape? slot - or a slot of its own. Or maybe you choose between a magic carpet and a broomstick, each with its own pros and cons.
They might need to be recharged, which costs MP.
