Well most of them are a bit alien in colors, and we said we won't accept more color variations, but we need new monsters.

dude. we dont need more color variations. as Elven said we need more uniqe monsters.
anyway i think that monster color should be similar to monster's natural enviroment. So very odd colors just cant be used.

well, i gave it a try. didnt work, but thats OK, its justthat people want some temporary monsters to kill as well as more things to do in the game right now.

And I say people should be a little patient and shouldn't expect too much from a pre-alpha game.

Couldn't we use the colour vaiations just to get something new in to the game. Then once the Artists have come up with something better we could use that. This isn't ideal, but it does keep things moving. Maybe reserve one colour as a WIP colour.

No, new colors are a cheap way to make new content. They have the right idea by pushing for new monsters instead.
