The Mana World Government
In all reason, all government without the consent of the governed is the very definition of slavery.
Over two hundred and fifty years ago, Jonathan Swift wrote those words. But today the mana world is still living in slavery.
The developers give us games and then remove them. They tell us, the governed, how we can behave, how we can act, what we can do and how we can do it.
They offer us tidbits of hope and suggests, submit your ideas here, contribute here, add your name there. But they do not allow us to rule ourselves. They offer no way to for us to govern ourselves.
Instead it is a game to them. Have us fighting each other. Bickering between each other. Playing differences off each other.
I, for one, am sick of it.
We need a government in which it is the community that decides the rules.
A congress of 10 maybe. Elected by the people of the mana world. Lvl 50 or over with 6 months of playing time.
The congress can pass laws and elect a prime minster.
The Developers hand down their selections for gms.
The congress either accepts them on a 7/10 vote or rejects them.
But this experiment, if you can call it that. Shows that the people do not need control from above. But laws handed up from below. From the people.
We need the right to self govern. We the people.
Maybe more on this later....

- NOT a game master
Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
Re: The Mana World Government
That sounds like a good idea. However, like most "good ideas" actually implementing it and expecting it to work as intended.... well that is a different story...
I would hypothesise any attempt to implement an in-game government ran and decided by the players themselves would only be corrupted like most current world governments. Cause more problems then the community has yet to see. As well, be a nuisance to the Dev's in their use of us testers or guinea pigs if prefered.
