GM demotions.

Post by Platyna »

Delasia and doorsman, due to continued and valid complaints, no longer have any powers over the server.

In this announcement I would like to state, that a GM can be stripped off their power only by inactivity or well proven complaints (this include situations when players uses acquainted GM as a proxy to solve their issues). There are no democracy here and one of GM tasks is to enforce the rules. Please keep it in mind when posting complaints about GMs - only legitimate ones will be taken into account.

EDIT: Important is that any person feeling save enough to harass Delasia or doorsman in game will be punished swiftly.

Regards.

Sorry to see them go - they were the only ones I ever saw when I was on and I never had a problem with either of them.

Well doesnt surprise me that someone who has had issues in the past with ....hmm social engineers and scams would come out of the woodwork to comment on something that has little to nothing to do with someone who never plays anymore.

Doors and Delasia might have made a couple of mistakes throughout their careers in TMW, but it was their passion for the game and the community that made them easy to forgive. Well most of us anyway....some just cant seem to move on, and let go.

Hopefully someone will open their eyes and realize the benefits FAR outweighed the BS (and much of it fabricated anyway IMHO)

Does this mean Delasia's not an Event Organiser any more, either?

Sad. Sorry Del and Doors; I never had a problem with either.

There are no fights between two ladies. The issues in question has been raised here:

http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... it=delasia (multiboxing is not against the rules, but GMs should maintain some standards + command abuse)
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... it=delasia (many persons emailed me and asked how it is that some people can drop things and some cannot - again standards)
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... it=delasia (Delasia admitting she did what majority of people asked her, even if the player did not broken any rules - standards again - GMs cannot act on popular demand)
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... it=delasia (especially this one affected my decision)

And generally many more reported to me via PM, including the situations when my alt chars were present in game and the way they acted towards the community.

These issues caused that Delasia and doorsman lost their creditability to be GMs.

I do not judge people according to my like and dislike. I carried out the decision based on objective evidence.

Indeed. Even if I do not like or dislike you at all (in fact I do not like or dislike even Jaxad, even if he is annoying) the fact is you were made a GM against my will and against my moral standards.

However you are active, professional and there were no legitimate complaints about you (as well no riots  ).

From my Queens Position I can understand why she would demote the two. Wrong or right the decision is based on the evidence she has at hand. However, in my humble opinion I would say it is safe to say that the majority of the community would like to see Del remain the Event Organizer as do I.

The majority of the complaints against Delasia were from when she was a GM not as the Event Organizer. I am but a lowly servant to my Queen and surely would make no demands but I do plead that she reconsider her decision for the benefit of the community and all who enjoyed participating in Del's events.

Should we call this a shameless boot-licking ?
