Snakes?

Are the snakes broken?

They used to drop things periodically, but don't seem to be doing that any more.

according to the wiki, they look like they're not supposed to drop anything.

Before the "special event" they were dropping water jars, sand jars, and fancy hats (maybe other things too).

Finally got a snake to drop something! Takes killing a lot of snakes., but does generate much experience

It must be a rare item, but I already have one.

Do they still drop jars ?
I got fancy hats but no jars...

That leads me to another thing:
Is there a good linux item/monster database editor ?

I tried to use the AthenaDatabaseEditor.exe with wine but couldn't get
it working... :

$wine Athena\ Database\ Editor.exe

I'm sure there's more than one for linux, since athena was started as a linux project and then converted to windows. Just check eathena website:
