mana potion use???

Sorry for the question, I feel pretty stupid..., anyway I made the mana potion, clicked use (from inventory) and it disappeard but there was no effect, did it again same result...
btw I did the potion ata waya's, also I checked around with the mages and found no change


did I do it wrong? or I'm missing something?

sorry I found out myself I always spend a day trying things then I ask and then find out myself
anyways -you have to touch the seed again- it's written nowhere, is it supposed to be guessed? if so I am way tooo stupid

The NPC dialog should make it somewhat obvious what you need to do.

The Mana Potion is also +10 MP, AFAIK.
