Re: Death world again [WIP]
But... there is a little trick we could abuse. 0.0.29.1 pulls its updates from resource2.txt, the current git pulls a file named resources.xml. We could put an update without backgrounds into resource2.txt and another versions with backgrounds into resources.xml. Instead of having two versions of t...

Another type would be a terrain-search or orienteering quest.
Find all the wells in the desert; find all the exits from a cave with many exits etc. Last Christmas' reinboo quest would be an example.

Aethyra's still going, just had a mess-up with transferring ownership of the aethyra.org domain. It's now on aethyra.com.

Re: ANTI - BOTTING IDEA ......... NEW COMBAT SYSTEM
A monster with a ranged attack; when hit it moves one square away from the attacker, then shoots from there.
I picture this as a mutation to existing monsters, not a new monster type.
(Doesn't stop programmed bots, but should kill CTRL+A botters.)

Re: cat ears
Is this Photoshop Disasters or something? As the one of the TMW cat ears artists, I spent longer thinking about how hair goes round the ears than that advert's creator. She's got no shadow in the ribbon. The one in the background is sitting in thin air, on a twisted pillar. I reckon the ears aren't ...

With USB joysticks, you sometimes need to go in to the game's settings menu, disable the joystick, then reenable it.

Sharper cave land-water edge
I think this looks better than the current tiles. (same TMW water, same TMW ground, sharper graphics at the point that the two meet) TMW_Screenshot_73.png Authorship: Before TMW started, Frode created a tileset for a game called Cave Adventure. The cave tileset is a tileset from that game, rescaled ...

Multiboxing for graphics dev
For graphics development it can be useful to have two clients logged in and exploring the same area - one client using the current in-game graphics, and one with whatever alteration is being considered. This looks like a helpful addition to doing it. It's more sociable to test graphics while playing...

Re: [REQ] Logging camp tile artwork
I'd have the loggers sleep on the island and commute to the forest; they can guard the bridge to stop monsters attacking the camp instead of being attacked from all sides.

Re: Quest NPC Indication
(I'm in favour of visible indicators.)
Old players will have already talked to a lot of NPCs.
If an existing NPC has a quest added to them, please move them 4-5 tiles; so they're still in about the same place but old players will have a hint to talk to them again.
