First for some technical feedback:
Item icons must be 32x32 pixels large, yours are 33x33. They also require a transparent background, not a white one. What image editor are you using?

Now for some artistic feedback:
Icon 1 lacks an outline around the hilt. Also the shading of the hilt looks off. Do you notice that the blade is lit from the upper left? The hilt should be shaded in the same way, but the light comes from the lower right.

Icon 2 has a very blurry hilt. It seems like you've used automatic resize here. This is a tool you should always avoid when creating pixel art.

I am a bad pixel artist, but here is a remade version of your work. Try to improve it, I just modified some of the shading + centered it on a 32.32 pixels image with a transparent backround.
