Luckily this topic is in player talk so I can freely interfere without having to be a GM.

Lucifer, I don't enjoy seeing how you run our GMs down.
As I said they are doing an awesome job, not comparable to other games.
This is just not fair.

This topic so far is only accussing GMs that they do their job bad without mentioning a certain case while on the other hand it's well known that you sometimes cross the line.
You still avoid mentioning a certain case, what happened, what you said, what the GMs told you.
I believe you know that it was you who acted wrong and just want to express your anger that you were asked to change your behavior.

To talk about a possible bad behavior of a GM we need to know what happened and not just "they suck".
If this topic doesn't change I suggest to close it.

No one said that, this is out of context.

Which GM on Land of Fire banned you for taking off your clothes? I highly doubt it was me. I would often take off my clothes as in a process of swapping outfits.

Yeah, I'm the same Cordo that is a GM on the Land of Fire server. You bring up GMs there banning you for something petty, you need to be exact. Which one did this? Were you asked several times to clothe yourself?

We had a policy, I figure much like here. GMs would ask three times for the offender to stop the offending activity. Then, you would get 1hr ban if you didn't comply. After that you got another three strikes, then, a 1 day ban. It kept escalating until finally we could request an IP blocking, by the server admin.

As far as I know, there were no blocks on Land of Fire. And as a GM there I realized that the admin seemed to not help back the GMs too well. Players would whine to the admin about being banned, the GM would have to relent, let bans slide. So in a very real sense there were not any rules on Land of Fire.

Sure they were posted, sure you were allegedly expected to follow them. But don't worry about it, we don't enforce the rules. If a GM tries enforcing the rules, we side with the players. And that was highly frustrating from a GMs stand point. It was the players who chose the GMs to enforce the rules, but yet we were not allowed to enforce the rules. Screwy way for things to be really.

So, again, please be exact. I think I know who you're talking about but ...

PS: In fact if I recall correctly, we even had an all day event once where everyone went without clothes. It was a fight club / survival event suggested by Oz. He asked to see who could last the longest against Yeti, while not wearing clothes or using weapons. It was a rather fun event and none were banned that day, as it was a scheduled event. Yay! We had something fun to do! :)

So, I think I agree with Cassy up thread here. You are probably angry you were asked to alter your behavior. To a degree that is understandable. To another degree, I'm sure with public logs, and the COURTHOUSE thread there are better ways to address a grievance. If you think a GM has been unfair, take it to the courthouse thread and let a jury of other players decide. That's why the courthouse thread exists.

But, remember, you need to supply evidence as well. Burden of proofs lies with both parties, not merely one party.

Yeah, on LOF things are not as strict as said, and yes i have had events where everyone is not clothed and there has never been an issue as long as i have played there, other than someone getting banned for using rude innuendo. I would also like to add that everyone on LOF "Even GM's are very kind and welcoming people as long as you the player are just as kind to everyone else, but if one gets banned from any game, be it LOF Evol or TMW and they continue to get banned after being unbanned, then they were doing something more than just removing articles of clothing.....

P.S. Hi Cordo Bro long time dude 8)

Yeah it has been. Wound up out for a bit. Had some real life toss out a curve or two. Got busy and needed something as a release. LoF, is a bit too quiet. No secret we did not have many regular players. Been quieter though.

*HUG* Hope everything is going good your way bro. From my skimming of Fake Book it seems to be. You guys look to be a motley crue out there. *chuckles* Of course, this comes from a gruff old woolly bully dog. Take it for what it's worth. Peace & love bro. As always run it slow.

*still getting used to forum formatting and such*
