Sweater sprites

The 2009 Mana project went dormant around 2014 and was revived in 2023; it currently develops a client implementation for TMW and potentially other games.

with all the different colors of sweater we have now, is there going to be an NPC that dyes your sweater a different color, or are each color of the sweaters going to be seperate items?

It is planned to recolor sprites dynamically one day, but it isn't as easy as one might think, because the recoloring has to be implemented differently for openGL and software mode.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

Yeah. It's hard to see details if the colour's to dark.
Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay. I am just dropping by to say, I am not dead, just busy due to term projects and finals. I have created a lighter and shaper version of the sweater icon (using only 14 colours excluding alpha's grayscale).

How many just making several png file for each colourable items? Instead of using software to recolour, the program can just load different pngs.

We already decided to recolor grayscaled items dynamically. This option give us more flexibility than making many recolored pngs. If u want make for example 256 (or even more: 512, 1024, 2048) color versions of each equipable item, just go ahed, but imo it doesnt make any sense.
