That isometric perspective doesn't fit TMW well, in my opinion. When you think that viewing it directly from the front is too boring you can try rotating it for just a few degrees instead of exactly 45.
We also usually do engravings by doing both a highlighted line and a shadowed line instead of only a shadowed line. You can study this techinque from the rocks in the woodland_ground tileset and the tombstones from the graveyard_x2 tileset.
Alternative idea: Glowing runes with animation (changing brightness).

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
It looks like a cardboard cutout. Note the chip on the left side: if this was three-dimensional, you'd see stone behind the crack (unless it went all the way along the side of the obelisk, widening as it did so). The same goes for the crack in the lower right corner.
The stone texture is also very blurry. Try doing the face of the whole thing with just 5 shades of brown, and rather than gradienting (very light - > light -> dark -> very dark) try some dithering the colours around a bit (eg, light -> very light -> light -> very dark -> dark -> very dark), and not in bands. It's not cloth, it's a rock, so splatter them pixels all over the place.
Also, depending on the story behind this obelisk, the skull and cross bones is probably entirely irrelevant. Why's it there? And as for that circumscribed pentagram, I'd advise not using anything connected with Earthern religions. Don't anger the pagans.
Looks okay, but pixel-art can unfortunately not be resized automatedly. It needs to be redrawn in a larger size by hand, to avoid ruining the style and quality.
made side that is not in the light a little less dark
the tip a bit higher
If it looks fine like that I will add the shaddow on the floor to finish it.
