[FRENCH-HOUSE]-The Gardener Weekly Talk Show

Post by Uber_Kalimero »

My weekly post is about : "Mirabelles"

Mirabelle is a nice fruit you can find in French country-side.
His taste is mildly sweet, and it can be used for cooking or baking purposes.
Image
It can be considered by many as a mindless living creature without any dangerous behavior toward humankind.

Please feel free to post your cooking or baking propositions concerning "Mirabelles" inside this topic.

Next week post should concern "Prunes", another unmalicious friend : stay tuned !

* 25 g flour

* 50 g sugar

Procedure

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C for about 10 minutes.

2. Butter a pie or a tart mould and line it with pâte brisée. Bake for 10 minutes.

3. Wash the mirabelles. Cut them in half and stone them. Lay the fruit halves decoratively on the pastry.

4. In a bowl beat the eggs and the flour. Add sugar and fresh cream.

5. Pour the batter over the pastry and spread it evenly over the surface.

6. Put in the oven for 35 minutes and watch regularly to see when it's baked.

Serve your mirabelle cake warm or cold. Sprinkle some icing sugar on it. You may also cook this dessert in small baking molds and serve it in a platter with toffee custard creme and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Have a spamful evening, sir.
